All-Bran Muffins
All-Bran Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-bran, 4 shredded wheat, 1 c. boiling water, 1 c. shortening and 3 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Pour boiling water over bran and wheat; set aside.
In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs.
Sift flour, soda, powder and salt; stir.
Add bran and wheat to mixture.
Mix well. Add dry mixture alternately with cream mixture and buttermilk. Mix well.
Cover and store in the refrigerator.
Keeps one month. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 400Β° preheated oven in lightly greased pans.
