Banana Tea Bread
Banana Tea Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. sifted flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/3 c. soft shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease pan.
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
With electric mixer at medium speed thoroughly mix shortening with sugar, then with eggs until very light and fluffy, about 4 minutes.
Then at low speed or blend beat in flour mixture alternately with bananas, just until smooth. Turn into pan.
Bake 1 hour or until done.
Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove.
(Cool overnight before slicing.)
