While ribs are browning, simmer remaining ingredients for 15 minutes.
Buy country-style ribs.
Put ribs in shallow pan; do not cover.
Sprinkle 3/4 cup onions over ribs.
Bake at 450° for 30 minutes, then pour sauce over ribs.
Bake at 350° for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Baste every 15 minutes.
Add hot water if sauce is too thick.
Cover last 30 minutes of baking.
