Brownies
Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. margarine, 2/3 c. unsweetened baking cocoa, 2 c. sugar, 4 eggs (unbeaten) and 1 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Melt shortening in large saucepan over low heat.
Remove from heat.
Stir in cocoa and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
Add vanilla, flour, baking powder and and salt.
Beat well.
Add 1 cup chopped nuts (if desired).
Turn into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
