Carney Christmas Cookies

Cream softened butter and sugar together; sift salt and flour together, then add to butter and sugar.
Add nuts and vanilla. Roll into 2-inch long shape.
Cook at 350Β° for 20 to 25 minutes. Roll hot cookies in rest of confectioners sugar several times. Makes approximately 4 dozen.
