Fr. Bob's Hot Chili
Fr. Bob'S Hot Chili is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. corn oil, 1 green pepper, diced, 2 lb. ground beef, 1 (35 oz.) can crushed tomatoes and 1/4 c. new mexico chili powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Brown the meat in the corn oil and drain.
Put the meat and all the other ingredients except for the beans into a large soup pot; bring to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally.
Add the beans and simmer for 15 more minutes.
Serve with cornbread and a mixed salad.
(One can also add some grated Cheddar cheese to the chili.)
