Fried Chicken is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken, cut up and 1/2 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Fill Dutch oven or deep fryer 1/3 full with shortening.
Heat to 350Β°.
Combine flour and seasoning in plastic bag.
Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk, then into flour mixture.
Fry in hot shortening 12 to 15 minutes.
