Homemade Tomato Soup
Homemade Tomato Soup is an easy dinner. Made with 1 large can crushed tomatoes, 1/2 c. water, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1/4 c. cornmeal and 1/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Add butter and 1/2 cup water to tomatoes in boiler.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to rolling boil for 2 minutes.
In a cup, mix cornmeal and 1/4 cup water, then finish filling cup with sweet milk.
Stir well; add to tomato mixture, continuing to stir well.
Cut off heat and cover with lid.
Allow to sit for 10 minutes, then serve.
This is good with hot cornbread.
