Layer bottom of pan with half of Cool Whip.
Layer ice cream sandwiches.
Poke holes in ice cream with a knife.
Pour amaretto evenly over ice cream.
Cover with remaining Cool Whip.
Sprinkle with nuts and press them into Cool Whip.
Put in freezer.
Remove and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
