Mama's Ice Cream Custard
Mama'S Ice Cream Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 qt. milk (or 5 cans evaporated milk), 3 c. sugar, 8 eggs, 2 heaping tbsp. flour and pinch of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Add sugar and flour that have been mixed together.
Quarts of whole milk or 5 cans evaporated milk plus water to make a total of 3 quarts.
Add salt and cook over low it thickens or coats a metal spoon.
In cold freeze.
May add any fruit (peaches, strawberries, etc.) but always sweeten fresh fruit and add the juice one lemon.
Can use canned pineapple, drained with no extra sugar.
