Melvena's Delicious Jellied Old Fashioned Cole Slaw
Melvena'S Delicious Jellied Old Fashioned Cole Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. hot water, 1/4 c. cold water and 1/2 c. mayonnaise, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Dissolve gelatin and salt in hot water. Add the cold water and chill until just syrupy.
Fold in remaining ingredients (except cabbage).
Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in the cabbage and pour into mold. Refrigerate until ready to serve. This should be done ahead and cannot be frozen.
Serves 4 to 6.
Can be doubled.
