Mom's Doughnuts
Mom'S Doughnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. lard and butter, 2 c. sugar, 6 eggs, 1 c. mashed potatoes and 1 c. potato water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Scald milk, then put in mashed potatoes and potato water.
Put potatoes through ricer, then eggs and sugar, then yeast and flour to stiffen.
Knead, then put in greased pan until doubled.
Roll out and cut.
Put on floured cloth and cover.
Let rise until doubled.
Fry in deep fat until golden brown.
