Pesto Sauce
Pesto Sauce is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in just 58 minutes. Made with c. lightly packed fresh basil leaves, . pine nuts (available in most grocery stores), garlic, c. parmesan cheese (or parmesan and romano) and c. olive oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Place basil, pine nuts, garlic and cheese in the work bowl of a food processor and process until a near-puree is obtained.
Pour oil slowly through the feed tube while the motor runs and scrap down the sides of the work bowl with a rubber spatula once or twice.
Run 20 to 30 seconds longer.
Remove and reserve.
Makes approximately 1/2 cup.
This may be frozen. Can be served over pasta and used with seafood and chicken dishes.
