Punch Bowl Cake
Punch Bowl Cake is an moderately easy drink you can prepare in about 1 hour. Made with cake mix (yellow or white), small cans crushed pineapple, drained, cherry or strawberry pie filling, large box instant vanilla pudding (prepared as directed on box) and cartons cool whip (12 oz.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Bake cake mix in two round cake pans.
Break one cake into pieces and place in punch bowl.
Layer 1/2 of pudding mix on cake pieces.
Add layer of 1 can crushed pineapple (drained), 1 can pie filling and 1 container Cool Whip on top.
Then place next cake on top (do not break) and repeat with layering of pudding, crushed pineapple, pie filling and Cool Whip.
May add pecans.
