Smoked Sausage & Sauerkraut
Smoked Sausage & Sauerkraut is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. pkg. lite or turkey smoked sausage, 1 lb. can sauerkraut (rinsed), 1 tbsp. oil, 1 sm. onion thinly sliced and 1 med. apple, peeled, cored and thinly sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Simmer sausage in small amount of water to remove some more fat.
In large skillet saute' onions in oil and add a little water to stir fry.
Add remaining ingredients, except sausage.
Cover and cook slowly for 15 minutes or until apple slices are soft.
