Yeast Rolls(Or Bread) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 1/2 c. warm water, 1/3 c. sugar and shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Scald milk, then cool.
Soften yeast in warm water; let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, put sugar, shortening and salt. Immediately pour scalded milk over ingredients in bowl and stir until shortening is melted.
When lukewarm, blend in 1 cup sifted flour.
Stir softened yeast and add, mixing well.
Measure 5 or 6 cups sifted flour.
Add about 1/2 the flour to the yeast mixture and beat until very smooth.
Beat in eggs; grease dough and let rise.
Bake 45 minutes in a 350Β° oven.
Makes 2 loaves of bread or 9 x 13-inch pan rolls.
