Aunt Irene's Noodles
Aunt Irene'S Noodles is an easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. (1/16-inch) egg noodles, 2 (16 oz.) containers real sour cream, 2 sticks real butter and 4 tbsp. poppy seeds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
The thinner the egg noodles the better.
Cook the noodles according to directions being sure to add enough salt to the water.
Do not overcook these noodles; be sure they are "dente". Place in a large casserole dish.
Add the two sticks of butter. Add the sour cream and the poppy seeds.
Season again with salt and a lot of pepper.
