Baked Luncheon Sandwiches
Baked Luncheon Sandwiches is an easy dinner. Made with 8 slices white bread, 2 c. grated sharp cheese, 1 egg, beaten, 1 c. grated baked ham (may use sliced ham and cheese) and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Sandwiches placing ham and 1/2 cup cheese or 1 slice ham and 1 slice cheese between 2 slices bread for sandwich.
Arrange close together in buttered baking dish.
Cut each half diagonally if desired.
Beat egg and milk together; sandwiches. Let in refrigerator overnight. Bake
325Β° oven for 1 hour until golden brown. Remove oven 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
Serve with rich cream sauce with mushrooms and a dash of Worcestershire if desired.
Paprika and a sprig of parsley if desired. Yield: 4 sandwiches or 8 halves.
