Barbecued Frankfurters
Barbecued Frankfurters is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 frankfurters, 6 frankfurter buns, 1 tbsp butter, 1/2 c. onion, chopped and 1/4 c. catsup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Melt butter, add chopped onion and cook until tender.
Add paprika, pepper, sugar, mustard, sauce, catsup and vinegar.
With sharp knife cut a 3 inch slit in each frankfurter.
Place frankfurters in a flat baking pan, slit side up.
Pour sauce over all and bake in a moderate oven 350Β° for 20 minutes basting frequently.
Place frankfurters in split, toasted, buttered buns. Serve extra sauce separately.
