Barbecued Fried Chicken is an impressive dinner. Made with 4 to 5 lb. broiler-fryer chicken parts, 1 c. flour, shortening for frying, 3/4 c. water and 2 tbsp. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Coat each piece of chicken with flour.
Fry in shortening until golden.
Blend together small amount of water with 2 tablespoons flour.
Add remaining water.
Mix well with remaining ingredients. Drain excess fat from chicken.
Pour sauce over chicken.
Cover and simmer 1 hour or until tender.
