Betty's Butter Pecan Ice Cream
Betty'S Butter Pecan Ice Cream is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 c. milk, 2 1/2 c. sugar, 1 pt. half and half or cream, 6 eggs and 3 tbsp. butter flavoring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt 1/4 cup butter in oven.
Add pecans and roast at 300Β° for about 20 minutes, stirring 2 times.
Set aside until needed.
Add sugar and salt.
Add egg mixture to milk and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add half and half or cream, vanilla flavoring and butter flavoring.
When ready to freeze, pour into freezer and add enough milk to reach fill line.
Add roasted pecans.
Makes 1 gallon.
