Chewy Brownie Cookies
Chewy Brownie Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar, 1 tbsp. water, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 eggs and 2/3 c. crisco shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Heat oven to 375Β°.
Combine Crisco, brown sugar, water and vanilla in large mixing bowl.
Beat at medium speed of electric mixture.
Beat eggs into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop rounded measuring tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are set.
Cookies will appear soft and moist.
Do not overbake.
Cool for 2 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
