Chocolate Chunk Brownies
Chocolate Chunk Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. cocoa, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 2/3 c. butter or margarine (divided use), 1/2 c. boiling water and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Heat the oven to 350Β°.
Grease rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
Add boiling water; stir until the mixture thickens.
Stir in the sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3 cup of melted butter; stir until smooth.
Add the flour, vanilla and salt; blend completely.
Stir in the nuts (if desired) and chocolate chunks.
Pour into a prepared pan.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Cool completely in the pan.
Cut into squares.
Makes about three dozen brownies.
