Christmas Hard Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 3/4 c. white sugar, 1 1/4 c. white syrup, 1 c. boiling water, coloring and 1 gram anise or 1/2 gram other oil flavor, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Boil first 3 ingredients until 300Β°.
Add color and flavor. Pour on cookie sheet trays of powdered sugar and cut into pieces. I broke mine.
