Christmas Sugar Cookies
Christmas Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. granulated sugar, 1/2 c. melted shortening or salad oil, 2 eggs, beaten, 1 tbsp. vanilla and 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Blend sugar and shortening; stir in eggs.
Add vanilla.
Sift flour, cream of tartar and salt.
Add to shortening mixture.
Mix well.
Drop by level tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Decorate with colored sprinkles, etc., after flattening with bottom of glass.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
