Country-Style Homemade Ice Cream
Country-Style Homemade Ice Cream is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 6 eggs, 2 1/2 c. sugar, 4 c. light cream, 1/2 tsp. salt and 2 tbsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Beat eggs until light and fluffy.
Add sugar, light cream, salt and vanilla.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Pour ice cream mixture into 1 gallon canister of ice cream freezer.
Add peaches, strawberries or several mashed ripe bananas.
Add enough additional light cream to fill the canister 3/4 full or about 2 cups.
Freeze in freezer until firm.
