Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches
Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) butterscotch chips, 1/2 c. peanut butter, 4 c. rice krispies, 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter over very low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
Stir in cereal.
Press half the mixture into buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Chill.
Set remaining mixture aside.
Melt chocolate chips, sugar, butter and water in double boiler (over hot, not boiling, water).
Stir constantly until smooth.
Spread over chilled cereal mixture.
Spread remaining cereal mixture evenly over top, pressing it in gently. Chill until firm (approximately 1 hour).
