Heat oven to 350Β°.
Melt butter; add poppy seed and onion. Spread mixture on both sides of bun.
Put one slice cheese between 2 slices of ham on buns.
Wrap in aluminum foil (four buns in each bundle).
Do not stack.
Heat in oven on cookie sheets for 20 minutes.
