Freezer Sandwich Cookies
Freezer Sandwich Cookies is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. snacking cake mix, 1 egg, 1 c. peanut butter, 1/4 c. shortening and 2 tbsp. oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix all ingredients except peanut butter in bowl with fork. Shape dough into roll about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in plastic wrap.
Freeze until firm, at least 2 hours; no longer than 1 week.
Cut roll into 1/8-inch slices with serrated knife.
Bake until set about 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool 1 minute.
Remove from sheet, cool completely.
Put 2 cookies together with 2 teaspoons peanut butter between each.
