Freezer Slaw
Freezer Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium head cabbage, shredded, 1 carrot, grated, 1 pepper, chopped fine, 1 tsp. salt and 1 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cover the shredded cabbage with water.
Add salt.
Let stand one hour.
Boil together vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed.
Let boil one minute.
Let stand until lukewarm. Squeeze water completely out of cabbage.
Combine cabbage, carrot and pepper.
Pour liquid mixture over all.
Mix well.
Place in containers and freeze.
