French Cobbler
French Cobbler is an moderately easy French dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 20 minutes. Made with c. margarine, c. flour, c. granulated sugar, . baking powder and c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 425°.
Melt margarine in 9 x 13-inch baking dish in preheated oven.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder and milk together.
Pour over the melted margarine in the baking pan.
Place the sliced, fresh fruit on top of the batter.
Sprinkle 3/4 cup granulated sugar and optional cinnamon over the fruit.
Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
