French-Style Peas
French-Style Peas is an moderately easy French dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with . butter or margarine, several large outside lettuce leaves, (9 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, . salt and . sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In large skillet with tight fitting lid, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Spread 2 or 3 lettuce leaves in skillet.
Add peas and chives.
Sprinkle with salt, sugar and pepper.
Dot with remaining 3 tablespoons butter.
Cover; cook over low heat for 30 minutes, or until peas are tender.
To serve, discard lettuce leaves. Serves 8.
