German Slaw
German Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large cabbage, shredded, 1 large onion, sliced thin, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. vinegar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Alternate layers of cabbage and onion.
Sprinkle sugar over the top of mixture immediately.
Mix remaining ingredients.
Boil 1 minute.
Pour over cabbage mixture immediately.
Stir to blend. Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours before serving. Will keep in refrigerator for several days.
