Italian Cream Cake
Italian Cream Cake is an impressive Italian dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 18 minutes. Made with margarine, c. shortening, c. sugar, egg yolks and c. flour (plain), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cream the margarine and shortening.
Add sugar and mix well. Add egg yolks, one at a time, and beat until fluffy.
Combine flour and soda and add to mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into 3 floured and greased pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.
