Leila's Feather Rolls
Leila'S Feather Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 2 tsp. granulated sugar, 1/4 c. warm water, 1 c. milk and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine yeast, 2 teaspoons sugar and warm water.
Stir until dissolved.
Scald milk and add shortening, 1/3 cup sugar and salt. Stir until shortening melted.
Eggs and stir into milk mixture.
Stir in yeast and 3 cups flour.
Beat well with a mixer.
Remaining
1/2 cups flour, it will be a sticky dough.
Refrigerate overnight. Turn out on a floured and shape into crescent, cloverleaf or Parker House rolls.
Let stand 4 hours, covered with a cloth.
Brush with melted butter
10 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 36 to 48 rolls.
