Lentil Stew
Lentil Stew is an impressive dinner. Made with 3/4 to 1 lb. ham cubed, 1 lb. lentils, 1 package onion soup mix, 2 bay leaf and 10 cup water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In large kettle combine ham, onion soup, bay leaf, lentils, pepper, allspice, cloves, parsley flakes and salt. Bring to boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Add carrots, potatoes and celery. Return to boiling point, reduce heat, cover and simmer one hour or longer until ham and vegetables are fork-tender.
