Meringue Tart Shells
Meringue Tart Shells is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 egg whites, 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar, dash of salt, 2 c. sugar and 2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Preheat oven to 350°.
Beat egg whites until frothy.
Add salt and cream of tartar.
Gradually add sugar while continuing to beat egg whites, until stiff peaks form.
Beat in extract and food coloring.
Put brown paper on large cookie sheets.
Drop meringue by very small teaspoons, shaping for a tart shell on the brown prepared cookie sheets.
(They will spread.)
Place pans in preheated 350° oven.
Do not put on lowest rack.
Turn oven off immediately and let pans remain in closed oven overnight.
This recipe may be made smaller by dividing the ingredients in half.
