Mexican Taco Pie
Mexican Taco Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1 envelope taco mix, 1 (16 oz.) jar thick and chunky picante sauce, 1 egg and 1 deep dish frozen pie crust, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Brown ground beef; drain.
Add taco mix and picante sauce. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in beaten egg. Sprinkle frozen pie crust with 1/2 cup of cheese.
Top with chilies, then add beef mixture over chilies.
Top with remaining cheese.
Bake in oven at 350Β° on cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve with lettuce and sour cream.
