Microwave Rice Pilaf
Microwave Rice Pilaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. chopped onion, 1/4 c. chopped celery, 1/4 c. chopped green pepper, 2 tbsp. margarine or butter and 1 c. hot water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine onion, celery, green pepper and margarine in 1-quart casserole.
Microwave on High (100%) until vegetables are tender-crisp, 3 to 5 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients; cover.
Microwave on High for 5 minutes.
Reduce power to Medium; microwave until liquid is absorbed, 10 to 12 minutes.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
Fluff with fork before serving.
