Mrs. Yoppi's Nut Roll
Mrs. Yoppi'S Nut Roll is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 lb. oleo, 1/2 pt. sour cream, 4 egg yolks and ground nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix oleo with flour, like pie dough.
Add egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla.
Mix together and make 8 balls of dough.
Put in refrigerator for 2 1/2 hours or overnight.
Roll like pies in powdered sugar.
Beat egg whites and 1/2 box powdered sugar together.
Spread egg white mixture over dough; sprinkle with ground nuts.
Cut with pizza cutter like pie in 8 pieces.
Roll outside to center and put on greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until brown.
