New Year'S Eve Braunschweiger Spread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 1 large pkg. braunschweiger (12 to 16 oz.), 1/4 to 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 1/4 c. grated or minced onion and 1 tbsp. garlic powder or more to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In large mixing bowl, using electric mixer, cream braunschweiger (chopped in chunks first), cream cheese and mayonnaise.
When well mixed, add onion, garlic powder, dash of salt and parsley.
If desired, may add 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Serve on assorted crackers.
