In mixing bowl, beat margarine and brown sugar.
Beat until fluffy.
Add egg and milk.
Beat well.
Mix flour and baking powder; add to mixture.
Drop by rounded teaspoon on waffle iron. Cook same as waffles.
Cool on rack.
Frost, if desired.
Makes 20 to 24.
