Old-Tyme Chili Pie is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. mexican (jalapeño) cornbread, 1/2 c. grated cheese, 1 (19 oz.) can chili and 1/4 c. minced onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
👨🍳 Instructions
Mix cornbread as directed.
Pour batter into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Heat chili with 1/4 cup water to simmering point, spoon over cornbread batter, sprinkle grated cheese and minced onion over chili.
Bake in 425° oven 15 to 18 minutes.
Cornbread will rise above chili mixture.
Serve hot; makes 4 generous servings.
