Pear-Pecan Salad
Pear-Pecan Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 46 minutes. Made with (16 oz.) cans pears, (3 oz.) pkg. lemon-flavored gelatin, (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, c. chopped pecans and c. whipping cream or 8 oz. cool whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Drain juice from pears and reserve 1 cup of liquid.
Bring juice to a boil on high heat.
Remove from heat and add lemon-flavored gelatin.
Chill until partially set.
Place pears and cream cheese in blender container and blend until creamy consistency.
Stir in gelatin mixture.
Add pecans.
If using whipping cream, whip and fold in gelatin mixture.
If using Cool Whip, fold into gelatin mixture.
Pour into mold.
Chill.
Serves 12.
