Pecan Tarts
Pecan Tarts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 oz. cream cheese, 1 c. flour, 1/2 c. softened butter or oleo, 1 egg and 3/4 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix first 3 ingredients well.
Roll in one inch diameter logs. Wrap in plastic wrap.
Chill well.
Beat egg, salt, sugar and butter until smooth.
Add vanilla.
Use miniature nonstick muffin pans (makes 24).
Slice chilled dough stick into 1/4 inch slices. Press into muffin cups.
Add filling by teaspoon.
Sprinkle in the nuts.
Bake at 325Β° about 25 minutes.
