Pineapple Surprise Cake

Put crushed pineapple, 1 1/4 cups sugar, flour, egg, soda and salt in a bowl; mix with a fork.
Pour into ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan (batter will be thin) . Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven.
While still hot, sprinkle with coconut and chopped nuts.
