Round Steak Sauerbraten
Round Steak Sauerbraten is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1 tbsp. shortening, 1 envelope brown gravy mix, 2 c. water and 1 tbsp. instant minced onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cut meat in 1-inch squares.
In large skillet, brown on all sides in hot shortening.
Remove from skillet.
Add gravy mix and water.
Bring to boiling, stirring constantly.
Stir in remaining ingredients (except noodles).
Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove bay leaf.
Boil noodles as directed.
Serve mixture over hot noodles.
