Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya
Shrimp And Sausage Jambalaya is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 large yellow onion, chopped, 1/2 c. chopped sweet green pepper, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1/4 lb. hot sausage and 2 tbsp. margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Saute onion, green pepper, celery and sausage in margarine in large pan for 5 minutes.
Add rice and cook, stirring for one minute.
Add tomato juice, chicken broth, salt, savory and pepper sauce.
Bring to boil, then simmer until rice is almost done (about 10 minutes).
Add shrimp and green onions until rice is done.
Sprinkle with parsley or cilantro and serve.
