Smothered Steak
Smothered Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lbs. round steak, salt & pepper, 2 - 3 tbsp. crisco, 1 med. onion, sliced and 4 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Salt and pepper meat.
Brown meat in Crisco.
Take meat out. Saute the onions into the rest of Crisco.
Add 4 Tbsp. flour, mixing well.
Add water in which bouillon cubes or granules have been dissolved.
Place meat in baking dish and pour bouillon mixture on top.
Cover and bake at 325Β°F for 2 hrs.
This makes its own gravy and is great served with mashed potatoes.
Serves 6 - 8.
