Cook noodles; rinse and drain.
Cook meat over medium heat until it loses pink color.
Add tomato sauce, salt, garlic salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Fold together noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream and onion.
Spoon half the mixture into bottom of 2 1/2-quart casserole.
Cover with half the meat mixture.
Repeat layers once again.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over top.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until mixture is thoroughly heated and cheese is melted at 350Β°.
